LIKE THEIR FIRST COLLABORATION LAST YEAR, THE ARTIST’S EMBLEMATIC LIPSTICK ART PIECE TAKES PRIDE OF PLACE IN THE DESIGN.

The Big Bang One Click Marc Ferrero timepieces are limited to a run of 100 pieces each.

If you follow French postwar and contemporary art, Marc Ferrero will be a familiar name. For the uninitiated, the 57-year-old artist has gained a following for his highly energetic paintings and unabashed use of colours which see him combining influences from the world of comics and ’70s films and pop culture. The painting Lipstick remains one of his most popular works to date and can be best described as Ferrero’s sleek take on vintage James Bond posters by legendary artist/illustrator Mitchell Hooks. It features an image of a woman hidden behind a large pair of sunglasses putting on, well, lipstick and is often considered the artist’s take on the modern-day heroine.

Last year, the artwork landed on the dial and strap designs for a series of limited-edition Big Bang One Click automatic watches in two colorful versions in blue and pink. For its latest collaboration with Ferrero again this year, the brand has given the Big Bang One Click Marc Ferrero a little facelift. This year’s update sees the artwork taking a more ying and yang approach, appearing in both a white and a black design that is limited to a run of 100 pieces per colour.

The Lipstick painting is printed on the box of your Big Bang One Click Marc Ferrero.

The first timepiece is an all-white design made from polished steel and resin, with a lacquered dial and calf and rubber strap. While the other model boasts a monochromatic colour scheme and crafted from black ceramic with a lacquered dial and calf and rubber strap. To give a little sparkle, the bezels on the two watches are set with 42 diamonds each while the lipstick detail on the dial is lacquered in a sliver of rouge. Like all models in the Big Bang One Click family, these ones come with interchangeable matching straps in alligator skin and rubber.
