The Economic and Financial Crimes Commissioner may arraign the Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Olakunle Oluomo, this week over alleged financial crimes, a source within the anti-graft agency confirmed to our correspondent on Saturday.

The source, who did not want his name in print because he is not the commission’s spokesperson, noted that the EFCC is leaving no stone unturned in its bid to arraign Oluomo.

The source said, “We are leaving no stone unturned concerning Oluomo’s matter. He will be arraigned in court in Lagos State on Monday or later in the week, as we are currently preparing charges against him.

“We are arraigning him in Lagos because it is a jurisdiction matter. Some highly placed personalities are doing everything to frustrate his arraignment, but he is expected to explain or defend himself in court on Monday.”

Oluomo was arrested by officials of the EFCC at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos last Thursday and flown to Abuja.
